The location couldn't have been better, right in front of the lake with a view of planes parked and boats coming and going. Additionally, the pool, spa with sauna/steam, and the lovely bar added extra charm to the already amazing setting.

I found the dining experience to be superb. The complimentary meals were top-notch, and the freshly baked European bread was a delightful touch. If you prefer dining out, the town offers plenty of local cafes as great alternatives.

I felt like I was transported to a peaceful oasis with stunning views of Fiordland mountains and lakes from the decked area, although the layout felt a bit cramped with long corridors between the rooms. The early check-in was a bonus, and my room was spacious, complete with a lovely courtyard for relaxation.

Rooms

The hotel is beautifully set in mature grounds surrounded by flowering shrubs, offering a large spa bath in the rooms. Although our room wasn't ready upon arrival due to their busyness, the staff was apologetic and provided vouchers for a drink at the bar, which was a nice touch.

However, the lack of air conditioning was a bit inconvenient. The service was exceptional, and the staff made me feel like I was their top priority. The location was perfect, with stunning views of Lake Te Anau and just a short walk to the town center. The dining experience was average, with limited options for breakfast. Overall, a great value for the money.
